History
THIRTY YEARS EXPERIENCE,
‘cause, you can’t become h&s consultant overnight
1994
In the early nineties Roberto Origgi had an intuition, namely to organise seminars to illustrate and elaborate on the "Legislative Decree n. 626 ", the first implementation of the European Directives on "Health and Safety at Work", together with some Consultancy firms.
The event thus conceived was structured over three days at the “Circolo della Stampa” in Milan, and was attended by hundreds of companies.
1997
The interest in the meetings confirmed Origgi's expectations that he should found a company that would offer advice in the field of prevention, with the aim of following and updating Labour Consultancy firm clients regarding news on the subject.
Betam Technology Srl was thus founded in June 1997.
Some partners were hired, including Lucio Anselmi, who would become one of the pillars of the company and support the owner during all these long years.
1999
The Company established its first headquarter in Via Appiani at number 7, but it remained there for only a short time. Development forced the Company to look for larger premises. New premises were found in Via Filarete at number 3, which became the "historic" headquarter of Betam Technology.
Over the years the results led to the expansion of the customer portfolio with new and important collaborations.
2017
This brings us to the present day, when in the first half of 2017, a group of shareholders, also friends, from the world of Consultancy and Safety at Work, including the current CEO Carlo Mariani, showed interest in Betam Technology.
2018
The acquisition was finally completed and the move to the new premises in via Claudio Monteverdi 18 took place in May 2018.
2024
In 2024 it moved to its new, larger, more functional and welcoming headquarters in via Costa 31, to provide better service to customers.
Betam Technology, today managed by Carlo Mariani, has a new organisation that has reviewed and implemented the range of services offered. These include the strictly prevention field, which remains the company's "core business", as well as the related areas of Data Processing and Protection (GDPR), Quality (ISO 9001) and Management Systems pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01.
It organises and offers new courses in the area of Food Hygiene (HACCP), Data Protection (GDPR), Communication and Public Speaking in addition, of course, to all the courses provided for by the Laws and Agreements in the field of prevention (health and safety in all workplaces).

Carlo Mariani
Chief Executive Officer
Carlo Mariani brings over forty years of professional experience, including thirteen years as an Administrative Director with a leading pharmaceutical company, where he held management responsibilities with delegated authority, including in the area of occupational safety. This background has given him a deep understanding of organizational processes and regulatory requirements related to health and safety.
He later founded and managed his own consulting firm, working alongside professional practices and specialized organizations in Milan and Rome. In this capacity, he supported numerous companies through organizational assessments, risk evaluations, preparation of technical documentation, drafting of procedures, and development of emergency plans. He has served in multiple roles as Health and Safety Manager (RSPP), contributing to the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (SGSSL) and to the definition of internal audit cycles.
Carlo has also been a member of Supervisory Bodies pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001, supporting companies in the development and updating of their Organizational, Management and Control Models (MOG).
He has extensive experience as a trainer, delivering courses to all corporate roles—from workers and supervisors to managers and employers—supporting organizations in building a comprehensive and structured prevention culture.
In addition, he designs and leads emergency management training programs, including advanced courses for Level 3 (high-risk) fire-fighting teams, aimed at obtaining certification from the Italian Fire Brigade.
Today, Carlo serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Betam Technology Srl, providing consulting services in both health and safety and data protection, and serving as RSPP and Data Protection Officer (DPO) for various organizations. He also develops and delivers integrated training programs that combine workplace safety and privacy compliance, with a strong focus on practical and organizational effectiveness.
He is a registered member of the Italian Association of Safety Professionals and A.I.F.O.S., listed in the respective professional registers (nos. 103 and 248).
Roberto Origgi
Honorary President
Roberto Origgi began his career in the late 1970s dealing with Advertising Marketing at Etas Kompass. He later joined Condé Nast Italy, part of the Vogue group, where he became a manager. He remained there until the beginning of the 1990s, when he left the company to become a freelancer, dealing with Health and Safety at Work. In 1997, he founded Betam Technolgy Srl developing its portfolio and activities and acting as Sole Director over the years, a position held until the sale of the Company in May 2018. Today he holds the office of Honorary Chairman without operational duties.
Francesca Fedeli
Q.H.S.E. Senior Consultant
Francesca Fedeli has gained thirty years of work experience, during which she has held significant roles, including that of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager in various companies and multinational corporations. She holds the RSPP (Health and Safety Manager) qualification and is a Trainer in the field of Health and Safety at Work. She is responsible for managing a group of clients, particularly in the industrial and production sectors.
Samuela Franzini
H&S Specialist
Samuela Franzini is a figure with significant experience in the field of prevention, gained through a long-standing collaboration with Betam Technology Srl. She is responsible for drafting Risk Assessment Documents, D.U.V.R.I. (Interference Risk Assessment Documents), Emergency Plans, P.O.S. (Operational Safety Plans), P.S.C. (Safety and Coordination Plans), and, more generally, all the documentation required under Legislative Decree 81/08, providing the related technical and managerial support.
Stefano Mattiuzzo
H&S Specialist
Stefano Mattiuzzo brings to Betam Technology over 35 years of operational experience gained at the Milan Fire Brigade, with a career strongly focused on emergency management and operational safety. Throughout his professional path, he has developed extensive expertise in fire prevention, intervention team coordination, and technical training of personnel.
He has obtained the competencies and qualifications required by law to serve as a Health and Safety Manager (RSPP), completing all mandatory specialized training programs.
At Betam Technology, he is involved in occupational health and safety consulting, operational support on prevention projects, and training activities, with a particular specialization in fire safety, an area in which he also works as a qualified instructor.
Danila Foglia
Administrative Senior Consultant
Danila Foglia has long and consolidated experience in the human resources and management administrative field. She is responsible for coordinating all activities, providing support and technical assistance in economic and financial matters, accounting perspective, and regarding the management of personnel administration practices. The collaboration is aimed at improving the management of the Company while also simplifying day-by-day activities through the handling of practices. Danila Foglia reports to the CEO with whom she interfaces.
